Job opportunity: technician position in the IMMUNOSENS project

A competition is now open for a technician contract within the project “IMMUNOSENS – Biomarkers of Health and Performance in Aquacultured Fish: the Application of Antibody-Based Biosensors” (ref. 2022.07659.PTDC). This role focuses on developing innovative tools for monitoring fish health using biosensor technology. The position is based at the CIIMAR – Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research of the University of Porto.

Requirements:

• Completion of 12th grade in Sciences or a professional/technical course in a related field.
• Strong communication skills and immediate availability.
• Preference for candidates with experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related areas.

Work Plan: The successful candidate will assist the Aquatic Animal Health (A2S) team in research activities, including developing VNAR antibody libraries, selecting phages, and producing recombinant antibodies to enhance fish health monitoring.

Workplace: CIIMAR headquarters at the Cruise Terminal of the Port of Leixões, Matosinhos, Porto.
