We’re hiring a PhD Researcher!

We’re looking for a PhD researcher. The candidates will be responsible for fish feeding trials, samples collection and lab processing; in vitro trials with both primary cell cultures and cell lines; fish bacterial challenge; data processing and statistical analysis as well as report writing. Discussion of the obtained results, production of respective reports and dissemination activities are also envisaged. Fish feeding trials will be focused with different species with particular emphasis in early juveniles of European seabass and Senegalese sole. Diets will be formulated to include both microalgae or extracts of different species of microalgae as sources of bioactive compounds. Bacterial challenge will be performed as bath route of infection.

The work will be carried out at the Animal Health and Aquaculture (A 2S), at CIIMAR, Matosinhos, Portugal, under the scientific supervision of Dr. Benjamin Costas.
