The salmon aquaculture industry faces a major health challenge with recurrent sea lice infestations. There is strong interest in finding solutions to mitigate the harmful impacts of this parasite on salmon production. The SKINS project aims to develop new research services to assess the modulation and regeneration of skin lesions in salmonids affected by sea lice.
