The TRYPinGut project aims to provide an integrative approach to a current health issue in aquaculture – intestinal inflammation caused by the inclusion of alternative ingredients. The proposal will focus on the use of tryptophan as a functional ingredient, assessing its capacity to mitigate the harmful effects of such diets, based on its regulatory properties in immune and neuroendocrine responses.
