Chlorella vulgaris supplementation as a modulator of the microbiota–gut–brain axis in Dicentrarchus labrax.

Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia
Coordinated by CIIMAR

The resident gut microbiota community has increasingly been recognised as playing a crucial role in several biological mechanisms, including nutrient absorption, immune system regulation, and communication with the brain. The microbiota is influenced by various factors, such as disease and dietary sources. As the regulatory mechanisms exerted by the microbiota remain unknown, MiMo aims to holistically identify the key actors involved in this regulation.
